About the event
FloLab is a weekly Hip Hop space built to protect and grow real culture in the Bay Area. Every Wednesday in Berkeley, MCs, writers, and community come together for a $300 rap writing contest and open mic where skill, substance, and presence still matter. No gimmicks. No gatekeeping. Just bars, crowd energy, and a room that rewards truth.
Each week features a new topic rooted in real life and two beats that bridge generations, pushing artists to sharpen their pen and speak on what’s happening now. The crowd decides who wins.
